Benefit Risk Assessment

Every drug is a thousand compromises. Fully assessing and communicating those compromises and their impact on the benefits and risks of our medicines is critical to all we do.

“Knowing that our work will help patients and their physicians be in a better position to make the right decisions about their health choices is incredibly exciting,” says Doug Manion, M.D., vice president, Global Clinical Development.

Benefit Risk Assessment
At Bristol-Myers Squibb we are at the cutting edge of Benefit Risk Assessment. We believe that it is critical to fulfilling our company’s mission to extend and enhance human life.

Benefit Risk Assessment is expected to become an area of increasing focus in our industry over the next five years as major regulatory agencies around the world refine their needs and expectations. At the same time innovative modeling technologies will be adopted that will make this a more objective area.

The tools we employ include both homegrown instruments like the new Benefit Risk Screening Tool as well as evolving external methodologies, most of which are adaptations of mathematical models derived from game theory.

We are looking for people who have a background in medicine, and an interest in economics, pharmacy and statistics.
